Martin made his solo debut in 2015 with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra and has since appeared as a soloist with numerous ensembles throughout Ontario. He has been featured on national and international broadcasts including NPR Live Sessions, King FM Classical Northwest, CBC (Canada), and Radio-Canada.
As a founding member of the award-winning Kodak Quartet, Martin has garnered Grand Prizes at the Coltman Chamber Music Competition and the Frances Walton Chamber Music Competition. He was also awarded the Top Violin Award at the 2016 KWMF Competition.
He has worked with members of several esteemed quartets, including the Beethoven, Alban Berg, Formosa, Jupiter, Verona, Calidore, JACK, Pacifica, Brentano, Kronos, American, Harlem, and Emerson Quartets. Martin has also studied with Yonhee Chang, Marcus Scholtes, Lance Ouellete, Salley Koo and, most recently, completed his studies with Lucie Robert as part of the Cuker and Stern Graduate String Quartet residency.
As an orchestral musician, Martin has traveled extensively, performing in prestigious venues across North America, Europe, and beyond. His versatility as a violinist allows him to thrive in various settings, from classical masterworks to contemporary and improvised music.
Equally passionate about education, Martin has built an international teaching studio and held faculty positions at renowned institutions like Interlochen Arts Camp and Bow Lake Music School where he is committed to nurturing young talents.
Outside the concert hall, Martin enjoys an active lifestyle, with passions for table tennis, basketball, badminton, and tennis. He currently performs on a violin crafted by Andranik Gaybaryan in 2018.
